We’ve taken another full trip around the sun and it’s time to ring in the New Year! And, no matter what your plans for your special celebration this New Year’s Eve, here are a few tried and true tips for our Beaus (and Belles too) this new beginnings night! Happy New Year and may you always have colorful cocktails to share with friends, polish and poise in every situation and the spirt of the South in your heart!
Tips for Gents on New Year’s Eve:
1. Tux for Lux: If there ever was a night for a tuxedo, New Year’s Eve is the perfect fit! Ladies love a man in a tuxedo, so no matter what the affair, a tux is always in fashion! And I might know of a few bowties that would just be a perfect compliment to top it off!
2. Get the Good Stuff: Kick off your 2010 with the best “spirits” one can afford! Vintage Champagnes, Rare Bourbons, Fine Wines are surely to be enjoyed and appreciated with love and laughter until the clock strikes!
3. The Gentleman’s Glance: Always, always glance around at other guests to ensure no one is left out of the socializing or without a dance partner! Especially in the South, Gentlemen should always do their best to make sure ALL ladies are included and made to feel special particularly on New Years!
4. Goodnight Kiss: It is tradition to kiss your belle at midnight! Even if it’s a friendly kiss on the cheek, be sure to follow it up with a warm embrace and a sincere compliment! Also, a word to the wise…Cigars although some guys celebrate with these, please hold off until after the countdown & kiss!
5. Don’t just look your best, but BE the BEST for others!
